My Favorite Concerts

*** Concerts in alphabetical order by artist ***

From a very early age, I’ve had the opportunity to see many of my favorite country artists, as well as many others in concert.

These are a few of my favorites that I’ve been to over the years!

Patterns Tour (Kelsea Ballerini)

Heartfirst Tour (Kelsea Ballerini)

The tour was to commemorate and support her fourth studio album, Subject to Change. The concert included songs from all of Ballerini’s albums. The concert was separated into 4 different themes with 4-6 songs coinciding with each theme, including cowboy & space. Some of the songs included a medley of songs from her debut album, The First Time (Love Me Like You Mean It, Dibs, and Yeah Boy), cover of The Chicks’ Cowboy Take Me Away, Homecoming Queen with opening act Georgia Webster, and her collaboration with pop group Lany.

I was able to see this concert tour twice, both shows were amazing in their own way. One included a surprise appearance (to the crowd, even to Ballerini herself) by country superstar Kenny Chesney to perform their award-winning hit collaboration, Half of My Hometown. The other time was amazing because it was a full-blown production show including a side B-Stage where Ballerini performed a few songs acoustic for fans, which was a first for Ballerini.

Live at Sphere Las Vegas (Kenny Chesney)

Your Place Tour (Ashley Cooke)

Glory Days Tour (Chapel Hart)

In May of 2023, I saw family country trio, Chapel Hart at their Glory Days tour, in support of their album by the same name. They performed songs from all three of their studio albums, some of the songs included – Glory Days as the show opener, Country Paradise, I Will Follow, American Pride, Jacqui’s Song, and covers of Loretta Lynn’s You Ain’t Woman Enough, and Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’.

This was definitely one of my favorite concerts because I was singing along to every single song and Tre and Devyn noticed me in the crowd throughout the entire concert multiple times. Chapel Hart put on an amazing show and interacted with the audience.

Opry Member Induction (Ashley McBryde)

This was a special concert for me because I have been a fan of Ashley McBryde’s music since I first saw a YouTube video of her Opry Debut and performing the song, “Girl Going Nowhere” specifically written for that moment, so seeing her being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry as an official member was definitely a full circle & surreal moment for me as a fan!

She was inducted by fellow Opry Member and friend, Terri Clark. McBryde performed multiple songs including Made for This, Girl Goin’ Nowhere, even brought out and surprised the crowd with Eric Church to duet on her song “Bible & A .44”, which they first performed together at one of Eric’s concerts back in 2017 before she had any national success.

See highlights from the night on the Grand Ole Opry’s YouTube channel here.

29: Written In Stone – Live from Music City (Carly Pearce)

In April of 2022, Carly Pearce held a concert at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works to celebrate her breakthrough and critically acclaimed album, “29: Written In Stone”. During this concert, she performed that album from top to bottom with stories between each song explaining the story behind them, then some of her biggest hits as part of the encore. Throughout the night, she had some special guests show up, including Ashley McBryde, The Issacs, and 2021 CMA Musician of the Year, Jenee Fleenor, and Lee Brice – just to name a few.

This was a concert I will forever remember because it was such an intimate show and with as many surprised guests as there were, it will be a hard show to top. You can also listen to the album below because the concert was documented as a live album released in March of 2023.

2022 CMT Awards (Various Artists)

I had the pleasure of getting to attend the 2022 CMT Awards at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini & Kane Brown. This was a fun experience because I got to see many performances including Keith Urban, Gabby Barrett, Walker Hayes, Maren Morris & Ryan Hurd, Carly Pearce, and Kenny Chesney. Along with musical performances, I got to see awards handed out which included:

  • Video of the Year & Collaborative Video of the Year: Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood – “If I Didn’t Love You”

  • Female Video of the Year: Miranda Lambert – “If I Was a Cowboy”

  • Male Video of the Year: Cody Johnson – “‘Til You Can’t”
